Preston Sprinkle on Biblical truth, homosexuality and politics

Preston Sprinkle isn't scared of being cancelled. In fact it seems there's no subject he isn't prepared to debate. The Biblical scholar and Theology professor regularly takes on hot-button topics ranging from sexuality, race, patriotism and hell.

He co-founded The Center for Faith, Sexuality and Gender which in their own words seeks to bring together leaders presenting 'a strong biblical ethic of marriage, sexuality and gender.'

In his book People to be Loved: Why Homosexuality is not just an Issue he took on one of the most controversial questions The Church faces in the modern age with a mission not to compromise biblical truth or compassion for those within the LGBT community.

In his latest book Exiles: The Church in the Shadow of Empire he explores The Church's relationship with politics against the backdrop of his own country's upcoming US election.

In this week's podcast Christianity Magazine Editor Sam Hailes sits down with Preston to talk through what the next big LGBT issue will be and why 1st century Christians didn't care which caesar took the throne.
