In this in-depth interview, the Scottish singer-songwriter and worship leader Steph Macleod speaks to Premier Christianity's Sam Hailes about overcoming drug and alcohol dependency. Steph was homeless when he found Christ, but that decision to surrender everything to Jesus marked an important turning point in his life story. That's not to say the singer gives the impression that his life is all rosy. Far from it. Steph says he's still "in recovery", and when asked how Covid-19 has affected him, he replies "It's been a really tough year." Others have called him open and honest, but Steph says he needs to be real in order to survive. Alongside writing worship songs, he's also a mental health advocate. In opening up about his struggles, Steph says he's always mindful of the support of his friends, family and church community in helping him stay sober. The pair also discuss Steph's new single, 'No Other God', which is out now, and discuss how the digital world is allowing the singer - along with the wider Celtic Worship community - to reach audiences all over the world.
