American gospel rapper Suave Colione will be headlining his first UK show this February, and Premier Gospel recently caught up with him for a chat.
Akosua DF: For those who dont know you, tell us a bit about yourself & your musical journey.
Suave: My name is Saad Morrell and my stage name is Suave Colione. Im an Atlanta, GA (US) based gospel rap artist-songwriter. I have a unique sound which is used to reach listeners that arent ordinary parishioners. My music comes from an authentic passion for song writing and rapping with lyrics and rhymes that reaches the hearts of both the traditional church goer, those searching for Christ, as well as the lost. Ive released 2 full length albums so far including A Peculiar People followed by my 2nd project It Takes A Village. Both projects have generated well over 350,000 streams globally combined and spawned several ground breaking singles.
Akosua DF: Whats the message behind your latest single, Sitcom love?
Suave: My latest single is a real life look at marriage and kingdom relationships comparing them to sitcoms from pop culture. Its executed in a clever lyrical and passion driven method over a crazy explosive yet R&B friendly production.
Akosua DF: You are about to embark on your first U.K. concert. What can fans expect on the night?
Suave: A truly authentic, passion filled Kingdom music experience. They can expect an amazing line up of both US and UK CHH artists. Extraordinary DJ, amazing sound and lighting. They can also expect ground breaking lyrics, productions, and over all an unrestricted Christian Hip Hop Experience.
