About 70,000 people showed up at Wembley Arena to watch musical performances interspersed with interviews from some of Team GBs Olympic champions.
Hosted by BBC Ones Clara Amfo and Greg James, the stellar lineup included; RagnBone Man, Anne-Marie, Bastille, Yungblud, Laura Mvula and UK Gospels The Spirituals Choir, amongst others.
The Spirituals Choir burst on to the scene in October 2020 with their televised Black History Project. Follow up project 4 Carols 4 Christmas, filmed at the iconic St Pauls Cathedral proved to be a huge hit during the Yuletide season. Formed by Bethel (Redding, California) Ministry School alumni, Junior Garr, The Spirituals are renowned for their reimagined classics and colourful harmonies.
With The Voice UK 2020 winner Blessing Annatoria on lead vocals, The Spirituals performed their remake of Labi Siffres (Something Inside) So Strong as nostalgic images from the Olympics flashed across the screens. Social media platforms were flooded with praise for the choir . @CharBar_tweets tweeted : Beautiful performance by the Spirituals Choir had me tingling on #TeamGB #TeamGBHomecoming Premier Gospels Station Director, Muyiwa Olarewaju OBE had word to describe the performance: AMAZING!!!
The group returned to the stage later in the show to join RagnBone for the smash hit Giants. Taking to Instagram to share their excitement, they posted: "Sharing the stage with @ragnboneman was a dream!We had the best time performing for @teamgb at the @ssearena last night!! .."

In the Old Testament music and pomp often followed victorious conquests. The Olympic games are over and what better way to honour Team GB for their 22 golds, 21 silvers and 22 bronzes, than with a magnificent musical show.
