The singer/songwriter turned fashion designer known for her catchy bilingual songs, artistic stage costumes and powerful stage presence, has been wowing audiences worldwide for over a decade.
The Adom Grace star won 4 awards at last weekends Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, beating the likes of mainstream heavyweights Sarkodie and Kidi to take home the award for Artist of the Year. History was made as Hamilton became the first female gospel artist in the history of the awards ceremony to win the top honour, and the second gospel artist to take home that crown.
Hamiltons win seems to have divided the masses with many deeming her not deserving of the honour. When asked by JoyOnline for a response to the uproar, Hamilton referenced the lyrics from one of her songs saying: Opinions are like noses, everyone has one. The singer added: I respect their opinion, but then again It wont be biblical if everyone said I deserved it. The bible says woe betide you if everybody loves you. We need the naysayers.
So, whats next for the songstress? More songs, more messages and more activities We are not reinventing the wheels we are just trusting the hand of He who has sent us, says Hamilton.
