For the first time in the new Apple store in Westfield White city, UK Gospel choir, the Spirituals, took over the space with a powerful performance to launch Premier Gospel's new playlists with Apple Music. The radio station has been championing gospel music in the UK for decades and now in 2022, Premier Gospel has joined Apple Music as a curator, bringing together exciting sounds spanning across five different playlists. Each playlist has been crafted by experts in the field to showcase the best of that genre. The Spirituals are featured on the 'Ultimate Choir' playlist with songs from their renowned Christmas Project EP, which they performed live at launch. This event was one of a kind, many of the staff and customers at the Apple store had never seen anything like it. One of the members of staff said " The choir's voices were amazing it gave me shivers! I have never heard gospel music performed live before." Many other notable figures in the UK Gospel scene came to the store to support the launch of the playlist. "This means so much for us because we have been working hard to get more integration in the gospel scene, this is huge." said Derrick Tchie, the founder of Gospel Hydration.
