Hundreds of thousands flock to Tafawa Balewa Square yearly to join host Paul Adefarasin and the worlds most celebrated gospel artists for The Experience Lagos. To describe this years event in their own words .... it is an orchestration of cultural diversities. It is a brass band treatment of soul-inspiring renditions. It is an artistic collage of several genres of gospel music that will make every ear tingle...
While the COVID-19 pandemic may be the catalyst for this years virtual format, the organisers refuse to let it scupper the event. Dubbed the global edition, its quite apt that the artist line-up is reflective of a worldwide audience. Artists from Indonesia, India, Brazil and South Africa are billed to perform, making the line-up one of the most diverse in the events fifteen-year history.
Speaking about the forthcoming event in a video invitation to the public, host Paul Adefarasin said: .... its bigger... its better ... and its bolder.
In these challenging times more than ever its important that we gather together as the body of Christ to uplift the name of the Lord in praise and in prayer. said worship leader, Don Moen
This years list of performers reads the crme de la crme of gospel music worldwide. The Experience veterans such as Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Nathaniel Bassey and Travis Green take to the virtual stage alongside event newbies Maverick city music, Hillsong united, Matt Redman and Tasha Cobbs. Luminaries set to bring goodwill messages and lead intercessory prayer include: Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, singer Michelle Williams, TD Jakes, Lakewood's Joel Osteen, The Kingdom Choir's Karen Gibson MBE and RCCG-UK's Agu Irukwu.
Gauging from the event promos, The Experience Lagos 2020 wont be your regular virtual concert but rather, an innovative cutting-edge production showcasing the absolute best of the worlds gospel talent. It promises to be a night where well experience the undeniable power of music.
