When asked how the song was birthed, Wright said: I was in my kitchen doing what you do in the kitchen and talking to God, telling him how crazy the times were. I realised that we couldnt rely on the system and in that moment I said Lord you are the only one who is consistent; the same yesterday, today and forever. I started crying out to the Lord to get us through the pandemic, and in that personal worship moment I began singing... We cry out to the God who never changes, we cry out.
