The theme for this years awards show is Romans 12:10: Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour.

Its a substantial coming together, says Step FWD Awards founder ONeil Dennis.  Its a coming together of age groups, a coming together of musical styles and genres, of people and communities. That makes all the seven years building up to this point very special; not just for us, but for the whole UK scene, he added.

Voting for the 12 Song of the Year categories was opened to the public this week. The categories are : Contemporary Worship, Contemporary Gospel, Chillhop/LoFi, Afrobeat, Poetry/Spoken Word, Electric/Dance, Rock/Metal, RnB/Soul, Reggae, Pop, Indie/Folk/Acoustic, and Rap. The list of nominations was curated from the pool of Step FWD UK Christian Chart No.1 songs between August 2020 to July 2021. See list of nominations and vote here

Other notable awards to be given out on the night will include Duo/Group, New Artist, Male and Female, Producer, Video of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, and Legacy Awards amongst others. To be able to honour the giants on whose shoulders we stand while were celebrating the current crop of talent around is heart-warming, said Step FWD Awards founder ONeil Dennis.

The Step FWD Awards takes place on Saturday 27^th November at St Pauls Hammersmith, London, W6 9PJ.
