Todd is renowned for using props and illustrations during his messages, however a recent failed attempt to recreate the scene from John 9 where Jesus healed a blind man using spit and mud, has left black church twitter feeling rather irate.
Judging from the large turnout on Premier Gospels Twitter Space last night, its safe to say were all aligned in our verdict on Spitgate and one word sums it up - gross.
Though some Transformation Nation crew claim the fiasco isnt that deep, here are three reasons why the rest of us vehemently disagree: (i) were still in a pandemic and Omicron numbers are rising (ii) lets be honest it was gross (iii)no one was healed.

Todds Sunday message centred on vision. God will clear our dim vision, but it will get messy and people around you will think yuck, he said. Well, thats exactly what we thought when Todd spat in his palm and rubbed it on a church members faceyuck.
So, was that illustration necessary? Absolutely not, and it seems Todd agrees. The Transformation Church pastor has since issued an apology for the incident. Taking to Instagram he said: Its never my intention to distract others from Gods word and the message of Jesus..even with illustrations! I apologise for my example being too extreme and disgusting

Spitgate has been the subject of conversation in several social media circles this week. The infamous Vision day message by Transformations Mike Todd went viral for the wrong reason leaving many of us feeling slightly sick.
