The Grammys happened over the weekend and it saw the likes of Beyonce, Harry Styles and Adele win big on the night. They weren't the only ones who made an impact on at the ceremony, hugely successful and widely known Maverick City Music won four Grammys, including Best Gospel Album and Best Contemporary Christian Performance/Song. Out of the five gospel related categories they scooped up five out of the awards, tying with Beyonce on the most wins for the night. Maverick City Music member Naomi took the chance to thank Jesus: "I want to give thanks t God and what He's able to do when you just decide to give your life to serve other people and to serve voices that are not normally heard. This album for us is one where we were able to go in to Everglades Correctional Facility and minister to incarcerated people and let them know that God still loves them and sees them no matter what. We're just honoured that it's making an impact, thank you so much, thank you Jesus." Kirk stepped in and let people know that gospel music is still here: "thank you Maverick City Music, thank you to all the artists that are in the category, Tye Tribbet and Doe and all these incredible [artists]. Gospel music is alive and well and this is the future." Watch the acceptance speech here:
