Kingdom Business is set to be an eight-part series that explores the gospel music industry - focusing on family, love, faith and the power of music.

The series is being written by John Sakmar and Kerry Lenhart - they have previously worked as the co-creators of the 1996 drama series Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

The new BET+ drama will centre around the life of gospel artist Denita Jordan and her ex-partner Caesar. When Denita launched her career Caesar played a big part in making Denita a successful artist.

Denita also runs an in-house record label and megachurch, she is a person of high influence and  she will do whats necessary to keep secrets and retain her place at the top.

Kingdom Business will see Denitas favour come into question when a once-troubled young woman challenges her. Rbel seeks to challenge traditional gospel music conventions and is determined to establish her voice in the scene.

Posting on Instagram, DeVon shared that he was excited and grateful to be producing his first TV show.

I am so excited and grateful to announce that Im producing my first TV Show, #KingdomBusiness, an incredible Drama Series about the Gospel Music industry alongside my sister the one and only @doctorhollycarter, my brother @Kirkfranklin, and the amazing @michaelvandyke. Let me tell you, they are a real life dream team. God is working and this series is going to be incredible. Stay tuned
