Award-winning Christian rapper, podcaster, international speaker and writer Kevin Burgess, better known as 'KB', has recently revealed how his friendship with Lecrae has grown stronger since leaving Lecrae's label, Reach Records. This strengthened bond between the two artists is beautifully reflected in their new song, "Miracles."
KB, who recently received a nomination at the Dove Awards, parted ways with Reach Records in 2020 to join Sony's RCA Inspiration/Provident Entertainment. Fans were left wondering if KB and Grammy award-winning Lecrae would ever collaborate again. However, dispelling all doubts, Lecrae was featured on "Miracles," a track from KB's new album 'His Glory Alone II', which was released on August 1st. The album also features Nigerian UK-based artist Limoblaze on the song "Away." In a recent interview with Christian Post, KB expressed his gratitude towards Lecrae, stating "I don't think I would be here today without God using him in the beginning stages of my career." He further highlighted how instrumental Lecrae has been in helping him navigate through various aspects of his life beyond music. KB shared on his social media account: “Don’t become so fixated on what you are waiting for God to do, that you forget all He has already done!!! Much love to the man himself @lecrae for joining me on this one!" Discussing their collaboration on 'Miracles,' he said that it was an organic development that truly reflected their friendship and shared faith. He believes that as children of God, they have experienced His ability to do exceedingly abundantly above all they could ever ask for. Apart from creating inspiring music, KB is also making waves with his new book 'Dangerous Jesus.' In it, he reintroduces readers to the true Jesus and challenges mainstream interpretations of Christianity. The book has already received rave reviews from readers who have found it encouraging and transformative. Whether through music or literature, KB continues to inspire and challenge his audience on their journey of faith.
