Chantelle J: How did this collaboration come about?
Limoblaze: Lecrae and I have a song together that came out last year called Everyday. So, he hit me up when he was coming to the UK. Straight away it was all about him wanting to give me a platform and showcase me to the people. At first we were going to perform the song we have together but then days before the event he was like, I really want you to have more of a special moment for yourself on stage and not just come out and do a hook on a song. By then producer, Happi Music had done the Afrobeat remix to Jireh and Lecrae sent it to me and said, I know youre going to kill this! Immediately I recorded my verse and sent it to Lecrae, I showed up at Big Church Day out and we did it!
Chantelle J: Wow! You created your verse two days before the event! How did people respond to the remix?
Limoblaze: Its pretty much gone viral, I posted it on Tik Tok and its at like 100,000 views and I dont even use Tik Tok! It went viral on Twitter and Instagram too. Everybody is asking for it to be released as a song.
Chantelle J: So, have Maverick City heard the remix?
Limoblaze: I dont want to speak too much on that. All Im going to say is that the right people who need to hear it have heard it and lets see what the future brings!
Chantelle J: How has it been for you, working so closely with Lecrae and building a relationship with him?
Limoblaze: Its funny because if you go to my Twitter and see some of my old tweets, I used to say this funny thing that the day I work with Lecrae Im going to stop music! For me, that would be the mark that Ive done it all. It really is amazing because when I started out, Lecraes music was the tool God used to get me on the path that Im on right now. He is always going to be a unique person in my ministry, career and life! It was really a full circle experience!
