Restricted global travel and local lockdowns have left gospel artists unable to tour or perform live, leading to significant loss of income. Despite the odds, gospel industry creatives have shown great resilience during the pandemic by successfully pivoting. One constant during these unprecedented times (in addition to Gods faithfulness, grace and mercy) has been the steady stream of new music.
Heres some great new music to look forward to in February:
Israel and New Breed Its been 5 years since Israel and New Breed blessed our playlists with new music so fans will be pleased to learn that their new project - Feels Like Home, is out on the 26th February. The first single - Hymn of Breakthrough will be available digitally on the 5th February and should tide us over till the full-length project drops. The bridge of the song has the distinct New Breed signature sound and chord progression and is reminiscent of New Breeds Live from Another Level album. As a matter of fact, it could easily have been track 18 on that project. Israel and New Breed definitely have a gospel hit on their hands as lyrics like I am healed, I am free, God has spoken I agree, my breakthrough is here..., are potent for these times.
Sinach The Dove award winning songstress has been busy writing and recording new material which will be shared with us in the next few weeks. With over 200 songs to her credit, the singer/songwriter is committed to growing and learning. 2021 brings a brand-new opportunity that is endless and for every moment we must be the best and continue to shine as we await His coming she posted on Instagram.
Todd Dulaney Last year Dulaney implored us to sing Gods word. We reacquainted ourselves with Proverbs 3, Psalm 18 and Psalm 23 via his EP, Back to the Book. This week Todd releases Revelation 4, a powerful worship anthem centred on the elders crying Holy to the one who sits on the throne. Revelation 4 will be the prelude to the new album Anthems and Glory, also due out this year.
CalledOut Music UK Gospels top artist is set to add a new EP to his ever-growing catalogue of music. Come Home hits digital stores on the 5th of February and judging from the response to the 10 second snippet posted on Instagram, the EP will be a fan favourite. CalledOuts listener friendly music resonates strongly with his large fanbase and this has resulted in phenomenal Spotify streaming numbers. The undeniable artistic growth with each project is a testament to CalledOuts commitment to the craft and I'm certain that Come Home will be his best work yet.
