INTERVIEW: CRYS Joins Hannah On The Latin Selection

One artist set to do incredible things is singer/songwriter Crys. CRYS is a Cuban-American independent artist based in Los Angeles. A creative visionary whose work varies from her own Latin-infused pop music to voice acting for a family-friendly animated Christmas series

Joining Hannah for the Latin Selection show, Crys shared a little about her music journey so far: I actually realised my first single in 2017 and my first EP Make Up My Mind in 2018. It was an rnb, pop fusion, love songs, its what resonated with me in that moment. I got married, moved to LA, I started operating more as a song writer and music arranger for other people

That first year of marriage was like a world tour, we went to Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, it was incredible.

The songwriter also shared how she worked with megachurch Elevation and came to help with Elevation Worship: we translated a lot of elevation music as well we we were a part of those projects but it was hard to focus on what my sound was, 2020 came along and I finally got to sit with myself and my husband and figure out what I wanted to say. during the pandemic we wrote all of the album and put it out with visuals

Crys is set to release an album very soon and Hannah asked whether she can reveal the title or date were to listen to it but the artist is keeping everything under wraps: honestly its a surprise, theres still things cooking so I dont want to prematurely share anything but itll be worth the wait - Im sitting on a lot of gems right now! Ill give you little pieces but then, boom
