And no, McReynolds doesnt just make a cameo appearance in the movie; he plays a leading role. Based on Tiffany L Warrens book The Favourite Son, the adapted screenplay sees McReynolds star alongside Power actor Rotimi , Christian Singer/Songwriter Anthony Evans, Soul Train Music Award winner Keke Wyatt , Hunger Games actor E Roger Mitchell and Empires Serayah.

Directed by actress Robin Givens , The Favourite Son tells the story of two musically gifted brothers Blaine and Camden, who also happen to be PKs (Pastors Kids). When the flamboyant and charismatic Blaine rocks the crowd at church with his electrifying performance , Dad decides to have the brothers play a more dominant role in the churchs music ministry and Sunday services, much to the chagrin of the quieter songwriting brother - Camden. 

A chance music opportunity from an industry executive (played by Anthony Evans) leaves Camden torn. Is the golden opportunity worth being cutoff by his dad and destroying his relationship with his brother? Is family truly the most important thing or is it time for him to forge his own path in life?
