The Pussycat Dolls are a successful girl-band emerging in the early 2000s, selling 15 million albums, 40 million singles and releasing hit tracks such as Buttons, Dont Cha and When I Grow Up. Known for their raunchy dancing, lyrics and clothing, the group built their brand on their sex-appeal and the diversity of their members. Recently Kaya Jones, a former member of Pussycat Dolls, shared how shes now given her life to Christ and opened up about her experiences during her time in the band as well as in the abusive culture of Hollywood. Jones appeared on the Speak Out With Christine Yeargin podcast where for the first time she shared private things about her life, for example her abortions at the tender age of 16: "after the first one, you don't think you've done anything wrong," Jones explained. "Once you've crossed that line, it's a very slippery slope to continue to cross those lines." Kaya went on to describe how she felt the group were selling a lie and said how much damage and pain has come from being in the music industry in her Facebook post celebrating her baptism: [I] was not serving God but rather myself. I knew I wasnt following Gods plan for me. Much damage & pain has come. Im finally now serving the Lord In the caption, accompanied by a picture of her being baptised, the music artist recounts how she was saved by watching Paula White-Cain on TV and is overjoyed that the minister is now the one to baptise her. She added: Ive sang with Jagger, Britney, Fergie, Katy Perry & many others. Nothing & no one compares to singing with Jesus! Nothing! Thank you for saving me! You take what the enemy meant for evil & you turn it for good!"
