In an interview with Premier Gospel, Winans shares her heart for the project saying: I want to ignite faith in the people of God. Its time for us to release our faith for the impossible. Winans isnt just intent on igniting our faith, but also stirring our hearts to sponsor children with Compassion International. The singer has teamed up with the international charity to host her first virtual concert on Sunday 21st February. Dubbed An Evening of Thanksgiving, the night promises to be full of hope and encouragement.
Attendees who sponsor a child with Compassion will receive a free ticket to the concert along with access to a separate VIP event that includes exclusive performances of Cece and her family - Angie, Debbie, Marvin, Mom Winans and brother-in-law, Cedric Caldwell. Footage of the family rehearsing "Oh Happy Day" posted on Instagram has already garnered over 28k views within a week. The line-up for the concert includes multi award-winning country music superstar Carrie Underwood, 5-time Grammy nominee Tauren Wells and Winans elder brother - Marvin.
The mother of 2 shared with Premier Gospel that her heart broke when her eldest son decided to get away from home and move to Australia. "I spent time on my knees crying to God to bring him back home," she said. One day I got a call from my son in Melbourne Australia, he had encountered God and wanted to let me know that God was real. The radical conversion of Cece's son - Alvin Love III, was the catalyst that birthed Nashville Life Church.
Ceces career achievements include 12 Grammy awards, 23 GMA Dove Awards, 11 solo projects and over 5million record sales; however, her most important accolade is to be a child of God and known as true believer in Jesus.
