Still Shadey has scooped up the Best Gospel Act at this years MOBO awards.
This years MOBO awards come with the excitement and anticipation that it always does, shining a much-appreciated light on music of Black origin. In the mix of that is recognising some of the UKs best Christian talent too.
One of the categories is Best Gospel Act, sponsored by Premier Gospel, and this year the nominees were Asha Elia, Still Shadey, Reblah, Sarah Teibo, Calledout Music and Rachel Kerr.
Still Shadey, who won Best Album at this years Premier Gospel Award, has been crowned the Best Gospel Act 2022. Releasing his incredible project How To Kill A Caterpillarin 2021 and having videos across GRM Daily with hundreds of thousands of views, Shadey has worked hard over the years to carve out his path in the Christian music scene. Not only that, but the rapper has also been vocal and active in communities against police brutality, most recently appearing on Channel 4s late night show Unapologetic to share his views.
After a win like this we're looking forward to seeing the trajectory of his career, his movement and the UK Christian music scene. Join us on the Gospel Breakfast show tomorrow morning where we'll catch up with Still Shadey to see how he feels after such an achievement.View this post on Instagram
