5 projects, millions of music streams and multiple international awards later; it would seem that Limos risky career move has definitely paid off.
When asked by Premier Gospel for the secret of his success, the Mind hit-maker said:Its the hand of God. I am very hardworking; I push myself beyond limits but its the grace of God. The Holy Spirit recently reminded me that its not the excellence of my music that has brought me this far, but the hand of God.
Growing up in a musical household, Limoblaze was exposed to diverse music genres and began singing in his church choir at age 8. His early adolescent rap influences included Tupac and Eminem and more recently, DaTruth and Lecrae. Following on from his collaborative Bridges project with DaTruth, the next artist on Limoblazes wish list of collaborators is Reach Records Founder Lecrae. Judging from Lecraes 12 second video response to Limos 2020 Set me free remix challenge submission, the respect is mutual. Limoblaze was featured on Reach Records Summer 2020 Playlist project, so hopefully he wont need to wait much longer for his dream collaboration.
In 2019, Limoblaze shocked the UK gospel community by beating the likes of Jonathan McReynolds, Todd Dulaney, Tasha Cobbs and Joe Mettle to win Best International Act at the Premier Gospel Awards. Speaking about the win he said: I do not look to awards for validation, but it tells me that people are paying attention to me and that my name is in the conversation. The Premier Gospel Awards was a highlight for me as I was up against some big heavy hitters.
Limoblaze fans will be thrilled to learn that the star has two projects in the works, with the first dropping this summer.
